Emiliano, Serhiy, and Jan, many thanks! Merged into main by commit [a03b4575]. No backport to core-9-0-branch or core-8-6-branch is planned. serhiy.storchaka added on 2026-10-08 15:16:09: A cursor spec of a single file name (@file) is already supported on Windows (.cur and .ani files) and macOS (any image supported by the system), but it was poorly tested and documented. Branch cursor-file-tests fixes this for all branches: the tests now use prepared files, run on macOS too, and test animated cursors and files of a wrong format; the manual page now documents the macOS case. Branch x11-xcursor-file, based on it and on the attached patch, adds support on X11 for cursors in the Xcursor format, which can have colors, an alpha channel and animation. libXcursor is loaded at run time (like libnotify), so there is no new build dependency; without it, or for a file of another format, the error is "bad cursor spec" as before. This is a new feature, so it is for 9.1 only. Tested on X11 and Windows; not on macOS. egavilan added on 2011-01-25 22:50:09: New patch with path normalization and improved error handling egavilan added on 2011-01-25 22:49:13: File Added - 399746: xcursor.diff egavilan added on 2011-01-25 22:47:51: File Deleted - 399668: egavilan added on 2011-01-25 00:35:43: File Added - 399668: xcursor.diff | |||
