| Description: |
Within this Tk lib ticket: https://core.tcl-lang.org/tklib/tktview/e5337a28466fb6cd9310e14d125fa89272a41ae4 Christian Werner remarks that the length of the replacement string uses "strlen" instead of character length. Here is the proposed patch (thanks Christian): https://androwish.org/home/info/54d2f6b404211874 Harald I was able to reproduce by in Tk 9.0.3: pack [ttk::entry .e2 -placeholder "ÄÖÜÄÖÜß"] This shows the interpretation of empty memory after the last character. If the bug shows up depends on the memory content after the placeholder string. So, multiple tries may be required. | |||
