Fix the fix for [1813595]: canvas-24.1 hangs on macOS.
The canvas scheduled its redisplay again from the idle handler while Enter and Leave bindings moved the current item away from the pointer and back, so [update idletasks], [update] and drawing on macOS, which process idle handlers until there are none left, never returned.
