This screenshot shows three levels of nesting. Apple's Human Interface Guidelines frown on having nesting that deep, but don't forbid it.

This is a screenshot of the notepad demo using commit a90a32fd. I have added a ttk::labelFrame inside the notepad pane to show that it has a darker background than the pane, which has a darker background than the window.

This is a screenshot of the Tk notebook demo. The "Description" pane of the notebook contains a ttk::frame containing a ttk::label and a ttk::button (plus another label which has no text until the button is pressed). Note that the pane has a darker background than the window, but the frame and everything inside it has the same background color as the window. If this were rendered correctl, the frame would have the same darker background as the pane.

This is a screenshot of the Tk themed button demo. It has three ttk::labelFrame widgets containing buttons. Note that the background color of the labelFrame is the same as that of the window, so there is no visual grouping. Looking closely you can see a bit of the shaded border around the GroupBox, but only at the top. The lower parts of the border blend into the window background.

This is a screenshot of Apples "Mission Control" preferences dialog. It contains two GroupBox elements, one of which has a title. Note that each GroupBox has a background which is slightly darker than the window background.

This is a screenshot of the "Privacy" pane in Apple's "Security and Privacy" preferences dialog. Note that the background of the TabbedPane object is slightly darker than the window background, and that the GroupBox inside the TabbedPane is slightly darker than its containing TabbedPane. This GroupBox has no title.
