Description:
The current implementation of example_begin/example_end
produces centered literal text. If you have more than
one example, they will not line up unless the longest
lines are the same. This is - in my opinion - not very
pleasant to look at.

I have removed the "align=center" from the <p align=center>
tag in the html-file (was the quickest way), and this does
the job!

Please go to the the file doctools/mpformats/fmt.html,
line 188 (example_begin), remove the string
"align=center" and check if that causes the
result to look better.

Sorry, forgot to mention that: HTML. 

The problem occurs in MS Internet Explorer 4.x and 5.5. The
black thick line amplifies the effect. 
Note: in Netscape it looks quite okay!
