Changing text tag underline and overstrike line colors
======================================================

Patch for tk8.2.2

Description
-----------

The standard behavior of a text widget allows to underline a text or
overstrike it, but using the same color as the current text
foreground.

This patch introduces two new text tag options: -underlinefg and
-overstrikefg that can be used to specify a specific color for
underlining and a specific color for overstriking. If these options
are unset or set to {}, then the behavior is the same as the standard
one: previous scripts will work as usual.

This directory contains:
  - text.patch : a patch file to apply. The modified files are:
  generic/{tkText.[hc],tkTextDisp.c,tkTextTag.c} and doc/text.n

  - tkText.tcl : and example of use (that can be used as a test file)

Applying the patch
------------------

Copy text.patch into the tk8.2.2 source directory, the go into this
directory and type:

    patch -p1 < text.patch

(warning: my patch program does not make backup files, therefore it
can be safer to make your own copies first).

After compilation of wish, you can try:

   wish tkText.tcl
